Begin your adventure by visiting Mirror Cave, located in Batu Cermin Village, just a 15-minute drive from Labuan Bajo. A short 20-minute walk from the entrance leads to this fascinating cave, discovered in 1951 by a Dutch Catholic missionary and archaeologist, Theodore Verhoven. He believed that Mirror Cave was once underwater, as evidenced by fossilized coral, fish, and turtles embedded in its walls, along with unique stalactites and stalagmites.

Next, travel to Rangko Cave, situated on Gusung Island, approximately 45 minutes to an hour away. Upon arrival at Rangko Village, take a 30-minute local boat ride to reach the cave. Inside, you’ll find impressive stalactites and a stunning natural pool with crystal-clear, cool water—a true hidden gem of nature. Afterward, return to Labuan Bajo for an overnight stay.

This peaceful and picturesque lake is home to various bird species and has deep cultural significance. According to local legend, Sano Limbung Lake was once a village, and ancient gold artifacts, including a gong and a plate, are believed to rest beneath its waters.

Visit Pacar Pu’u Traditional House, located north of Labuan Bajo. This cultural site features a megalithic altar, locally called “Compang,” where offerings are made to God and ancestral spirits during ceremonies.
